This sludge also contributes to poor emissions (seen as black exhaust smoke). - Over time these microbes/bugs grow into large colony forming units (CFUs) which get sucked into fuel lines blocking filters. - Microbial contamination is mostly seen as sludge that forms in the bottom of storage tanks & filters. 24hr Fuel Test Kit For Fuel Bugs - Can be used to test diesel, biodiesel, kerosene & heating oil. - Inexpensive test, easy for you or your customer to do. How To Use The Test: Instructions supplied - A sample of fuel from the storage tank is required (use a clean container). - Remove the slide from the sealed tube & immerse in the sample for 10 seconds. Allow excess fluid to drain. Push back into tube. - Place the tube in a dark warm location, draw/vehicle glove box. - After 24 – 48hrs incubation remove the slide from the tube. - Compare the density of colonies growing to the chart provided. - White side looks for bacteria, pink side yeast/mould. E Microbial contamination 10mins On Site Test For Fuel Bugs - Use to test diesel, biodiesel, kerosene & heating oil. - 10 minute on site test, tests for microbes/diesel bug. - Pregnancy style test proven over 10 years, used in the aircraft industry. - Ideal to keep on service vans (6 month shelf life). - You will receive one of the following results. Only 250ml of fuel req’d. Negative Fit a tank dryer & water/particle filter kit. Low positive Remove water/contaminated fuel, and fit a fuel conditioner. High positive Clean the tank. Fit a tank re circulation kit. NOTE: If any test lines are not visible this is a positive result. - If all control & test lines are visible this is a negative result. - A difference in boldness in the control & test lines is normal. - One (FT) required per test/sample.
